Wine in the Name of the Land and Longevity
At its core, sustainability is about working in tandem with the environment, ensuring that both the land and fruit will continue to thrive for generations to come. It’s a formula that not only respects the natural landscape and vital biodiversity at hand, but yields the most vibrant wines. We’re proud of our Napa Green certification and count on our in-house Green Team to continue to evolve our approaches—in the vineyard, winery, tasting room, and beyond—so that our future place in this remarkable environment is secure and symbiotic.
Certifications
The land is so hospitable we can’t help but return the favor. We farm with the environment very much in mind, treating each site to a customized conservation program. Every vineyard we work with is Napa Green certified, adhering to a code of agricultural practices that protect the local watershed, stress biodiversity, and promote climate action.
International Wineries for Climate Action (IWCA)
We are part of a larger movement working towards greener growing methods. The IWCA aims to reduce emissions, heighten land stewardship, and retain local biodiversity, with winery members are over the globe.
Lightweight Glass
By bottling in lightweight glass, Pine Ridge is minimizing its carbon footprint. Traditional bottles require a lot of resources to create and are heavy, meaning increased emissions when it comes to shipping them. It’s another way we can honor sustainability without compromising wine quality.
Since 2018 we have made significant strides in reducing bottle weight in the effort to lower Greenhouse gases.
